Johanna Walsh delivered a commanding performance to claim the Irish Oaks at The Curragh on Saturday, pulling away from the field in the final stages to win by four lengths. The victory took on added significance following the withdrawal of stablemate Thundering On that morning, a horse that had dominated the Epsom Oaks just weeks earlier under the same trainer, Joseph O'Brien.

Ridden by Dylan Browne McMonagle, the 7-2 favorite established a winning position from two furlongs out and maintained her advantage through the straight. McMonagle credited the horse's consistent improvement and cooperative nature, noting she had shown no signs of strain during the race and had executed the strategy flawlessly. The second and third placings went to Inis Mor and Sparan Nua respectively.
