Developed over time first seen 2 months ago
Actor Lewis Pullman has been confirmed to co-star opposite Julia Garner in "Guilty Creatures", a new Apple TV thriller series first announced on 6 July 2026. The show adapts Mikita Brottman's true crime book "Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida", following two adulterous, religious lovers whose affair leads to murder and the psychological toll of living with the crime for 18 years.
Garner stars and executive produces through her company Alma Margo, with Craig Gillespie attached to direct via his Fortunate Jack Productions banner and Sarah DeLappe writing the series; Stuart Zicherman will serve as showrunner. Tomorrow Studios, an ITV Studios partner, developed and brought the project to Apple, with Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Alissa Bachner, Annie Marter and Brottman herself also executive producing. For Pullman, whose recent credits include Netflix's "Remarkably Bright Creatures", Marvel's "Thunderbolts" and Apple's "Lessons in Chemistry", the role marks his latest high-profile TV casting, with "Avengers: Doomsday" and "Spaceballs: The New One" also ahead of him.

Guilty Creatures is a forthcoming Apple TV thriller series based on Mikita Brottman's true-crime book of the same name, which recounts a real case in Tallahassee, Florida, involving an affair between two religious, married people that ended in murder, and the years the killers spent living with the secret afterwards. The project was first announced on 6 July 2026, and Julia Garner has now been joined by Lewis Pullman as her co-lead.
Garner, who also serves as an executive producer through her production company Alma Margo, is a well-known actor with a string of high-profile television and film roles. Pullman has recently appeared in Netflix's Remarkably Bright Creatures and Marvel's Thunderbolts, and also has upcoming parts in Avengers: Doomsday and Spaceballs: The New One. The series is being directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Sarah DeLappe, with Stuart Zicherman as showrunner, and is produced by Tomorrow Studios, a company affiliated with ITV Studios.
The casting matters because it signals how Apple TV is building out its slate of prestige, true-crime-based drama with recognisable lead actors, a strategy streaming services increasingly use to attract subscribers with awards-calibre projects.
