Hong Kong-based sales company Moebius Entertainment has acquired worldwide sales rights, excluding Taiwan, to "Happily Ever After", the second feature from Taiwanese director Fiona Roan Feng-I. The film will have its world premiere in the Special Presentations section of the Toronto International Film Festival, and the deal reunites Roan and producer Clifford Miu with Moebius founder Fred Tsui after their work together on Roan's acclaimed debut, "American Girl".

"American Girl" premiered at Tokyo International Film Festival in 2021, later streamed globally on Netflix, and won five prizes at Taiwan's Golden Horse Awards, including Best New Director for Roan. Moebius, run by former Media Asia executive Tsui, specialises in auteur-driven Asian titles with international appeal and will begin sales efforts on "Happily Ever After" ahead of its Toronto premiere, with further festival and distribution details to follow.
