Oasis' 1995 hit "Wonderwall" has re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time since 1996, driven by its adoption as an anthem by England men's football fans during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The revival matters both as a rare chart comeback for a three-decade-old song and as further momentum for Oasis, who reunited in 2024 after splitting in 2009 and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year.

The track re-enters at No. 27 on the chart dated 25 July, powered by 8.7 million US streams in the week of 10-16 July, a 73% weekly increase, alongside a 41% rise in radio audience and a 112% jump in downloads sold. It also climbed on Billboard's Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts, having originally peaked at No. 8 in 1996. Fans sang the song after England's matches during their World Cup run, which ended on 15 July, prompting Noel Gallagher to say the song "belongs to the people." The resurgence coincides with the release of a trailer for the band's reunion documentary, Don't Look Back in Anger, due in cinemas on 11 September.
