*Proof* took $934,473 in its closing week, playing to over 100 percent capacity. *Cats: The Jellicle Ball* earned $823,972 across seven performances (one was cancelled), up from $766,808 the previous week, with capacity climbing to 97 percent from 82 percent, following news of its 8 August closure. *Hamilton* topped the charts overall with $2.2 million, ahead of *Death of a Salesman* ($2.06 million), *The Lion King* ($1.9 million), *MJ* ($1.8 million) and *Harry Potter and the Cursed Child* ($1.6 million). However, total Broadway grosses and attendance both fell around six percent for the week, with *Every Brilliant Thing* and *Oh, Mary!* both seeing declines — the latter following star Meg Stalter's illness-related absences — and only 31 productions running after *Dog Day Afternoon* closed on 12 July.
