A record six Welsh cricketers will feature in this year's Hundred, the 100-ball franchise competition, marking Wales' biggest ever representation in the tournament. Three players will represent home franchise Welsh Fire, two will turn out for London Spirit, and one will play for Trent Rockets, reflecting growing momentum in Welsh cricket and increased opportunities for homegrown talent to test themselves alongside international stars.

Newport-born all-rounder Ben Kellaway returns to Welsh Fire after an impressive debut season, joined by Glamorgan and England Lions team-mate Asa Tribe in a squad featuring England internationals Joe Root and Chris Woakes. North Wales-born Phil Salt, the competition's all-time leading run-scorer with 1,138 runs, captains Welsh Fire as they chase a maiden title having never reached the play-offs since the tournament launched in 2021; Salt led the side out against Southern Brave in Southampton on Wednesday, 22 July.
