Unlike the overtly political "Idiocracy," "King of the Hill" – created with former "Simpsons" writer Greg Daniels – has always been deliberately non-partisan, portraying ordinary Texans in the fictional town of Arlen without diving into culture-war divisions. The original series ran for 13 Emmy-winning seasons on Fox from 1997 to 2009, and the revival, helmed by showrunner Saladin K.
