Lilly Wachowski Boards Alexandra Grey’s Sci-Fi Short ‘The Day Before’ as Executive Producer (EXCLUSIVE)

Lilly Wachowski has joined Alexandra Grey’s independent science-fiction short film “The Day Before” as an executive producer. The project centres on a NASA astronaut preparing for a one-way mission to Mars, and brings Wachowski’s involvement to a film exploring the personal cost behind a landmark space mission.

Grey wrote, directs and stars as Dr Erynne Washington, who spends her last day on Earth with her husband Marcus and their young son before leaving permanently; Matthew Law and Alexander David Pleasant play her family, while Jamie Clayton plays a news anchor interviewing her. Production has wrapped in Los Angeles, with a festival premiere planned for 2027; Grey produces alongside Zackary Drucker, Jonathan Olson and Ilayda Cetinkaya.
