Kevin Morby and Katie Crutchfield, who performs as Waxahatchee, have welcomed their first child together. The baby’s early arrival prompted Morby to withdraw from the Eaux Claires Festival, underlining his decision to prioritise time with his family.

Morby said the baby was born on 21 July, around two weeks before the expected due date of 1 August, shortly after he returned from a European tour. Crutchfield announced her pregnancy in April during a co-headline tour with MJ Lenderman; Morby described both the baby and Crutchfield positively, while Eaux Claires confirmed his removal from its Wisconsin line-up.
