Fred Tsui Named Executive Director of Hong Kong International Film Festival Society

The Hong Kong International Film Festival Society has appointed Fred Tsui as its new executive director, succeeding Albert Lee from 23 September. The appointment matters because Tsui will lead one of Hong Kong’s principal film organisations and oversee its festival, financing and audience-development programmes.

Tsui brings more than 30 years’ experience across international film sales, co-production, distribution, broadcasting and exhibition. He is the founder and chief executive of Moebius Entertainment and previously spent over two decades at Media Asia Film, while also serving as a film critic, festival juror and member of industry bodies including the Hong Kong Film Development Council.
