Toronto-based New Mountain Films has acquired North American theatrical and streaming rights to *House of Hope*, Marjolein Busstra’s documentary about a pacifist Waldorf primary school in the occupied West Bank. The deal will give the film a wider audience ahead of awards season, following a festival prize that makes it eligible for consideration at the 99th Academy Awards.

Busstra followed Manar and Milad, who run the school in al-Eizariya near Jerusalem amid pressure linked to Israeli settlement expansion and escalating regional conflict. The 91-minute film premiered at IDFA in 2025 and won Hot Docs’ Best International Feature Documentary award in May 2026; it is due for a limited North American cinema release in mid-October before moving to New Mountain’s NM+ streaming service.
