French prosecutors said an autopsy found no signs of recent violence in the death of Daniel Siad, a 69-year-old modelling scout linked professionally to Jeffrey Epstein. The finding matters because Siad had been under scrutiny in a French investigation connected to human trafficking and tax fraud, although authorities had not found sufficient evidence to arrest him.

Siad was found dead at his home in Colombes, north-west of Paris, on 20 July, and the autopsy on 23 July did not establish a direct cause of death. Prosecutors said he had impaired health and evidence of a previous heart attack, while toxicology and pathology tests remain pending; his name appeared nearly 2,000 times in US Justice Department files on Epstein, but he maintained their relationship was solely professional.
