ADÉLA Announces Debut Album ‘PRIMA’
ADÉLA has announced that her debut album, ‘PRIMA’, will be released on 4 September through Polydor Records, alongside a new single, ‘Ain’t In LA’. The release positions the Slovak singer as an emerging future-pop artist and introduces an album intended to combine vulnerability with more forceful, beat-driven pop.
The single was inspired by photographs of ADÉLA’s mother as a teenager, prompting reflections on unrecognised women with ambitions. Executive-produced by Dylan Brady and Blake Slatkin, ‘PRIMA’ explores insecurity, toxic relationships, femininity and bodily autonomy; its title means “first” and references ADÉLA’s ambition to become a leading figure in pop. The video for ‘Ain’t In LA’, directed by Fred Gervais, was filmed in her hometown of Bratislava.
