Former England fast bowler Katherine Sciver-Brunt says she is experiencing “mum guilt” as she starts coaching with Trent Rockets in The Hundred, while raising her young son Theo with wife and England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt. She hopes eventually to become a franchise head coach, highlighting both her ambition and the limited number of female head coaches in women’s cricket.

Sciver-Brunt, 41, retired in 2023 and carried the couple’s first child, born in 2025. After working in broadcasting, she has become Rockets’ assistant coach and says the role has strengthened her desire to coach, although a year-round county head-coach position would not currently suit family life.
