Roku raises streaming hardware prices by up to $50
Roku has raised prices across its streaming-device range, with increases of up to $50. The company attributes the changes to the continuing global memory shortage, which is increasing component costs as chipmakers prioritise demand from AI companies.
The HD Streaming Stick has risen from $29.99 to $39.99, while the Streaming Stick Plus and 4K model now cost $59.99 and $79.99 respectively. Roku’s Ultra and Streambar SE have both increased from $99.99 to $149.99, although a temporary sale is returning some products to their former prices; Apple also raised Apple TV prices in June amid the shortage.
- Roku streaming devices now cost up to $50 more.
- Memory shortages are cited as the reason.
- Some models remain discounted temporarily.
