Funko at Comic-Con: Ultra-Rare ‘Invincible’ Pops!, Absolute Batman and a Figure Worth $10,000

The Hollywood Reporter · 3 hours ago

Funko has become one of Comic-Con’s busiest attractions, using exclusive products and carefully limited releases to draw large crowds at the San Diego event. The company says the convention lets it sell directly to genuine fans rather than automated buyers and resellers, while also promoting its wider range of Pop! figures, Mondo posters and vinyl records.

This year’s exclusives include a grey Wizard of Oz Mondo poster limited to 100 copies, with a smaller number featuring a green Wicked Witch variant, and a trio of figures based on DC’s Absolute Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman line. The most sought-after releases appear to be Invincible figures, with one character offered per day; Wednesday’s Movincihawk variant was limited to fewer than 500 units and sold for $60. Funko is also offering a Spider-Man-themed Pop! Yourself experience and previewing blind-bagged Pop! Mystery figures.

  • Funko’s Comic-Con exclusives are driving intense demand.
  • Invincible daily releases are among the most limited.
  • The company says it is prioritising direct fan access.
