Hulu has commissioned three extended-length Futurama specials, currently in production, alongside the forthcoming 14th season of the animated series. The announcement, made at San Diego Comic-Con, signals continued investment in the revived programme and gives fans further episodes beyond the regular season.

The first “XXXL-sized” special will be Christmas-themed and is expected in 2027, while details of the remaining two have not been disclosed. Hulu also released a trailer for season 14, which premieres on 3 August with two episodes; subsequent episodes will arrive weekly on Mondays, including internationally on Disney+.
