‘Family Guy’ Casts Kieran Culkin to Play the Devil in New Halloween Special for Hulu

Variety · 4 hours ago

"Family Guy" has cast Kieran Culkin as the Devil in a new Halloween special, "Happy Hell-o-ween," which will stream exclusively on Hulu (and Disney+ in most international markets) this autumn. The casting was revealed on Saturday during the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con by executive producer and showrunner Rich Appel, who also unveiled the first look at Culkin's devilish design, marking a notable stunt-casting move for the long-running Fox animated series as it heads into its 25th season.

In "Happy Hell-o-ween," Brian and Stewie end up in hell "paying for 24 seasons' worth of bad behaviour" and, after managing to annoy Satan himself, take charge of the underworld. A second special, "The Peter Clause," was also announced, following Peter's failed bid to become Quahog's official Santa. "Family Guy" returns to Fox for Season 25 in early 2027, streaming next-day on Hulu in the US, and remains created and executive produced by Seth MacFarlane alongside Appel, Alec Sulkin and others.
