The renewed interest comes as Sheridan enjoys a prolific run on Paramount Plus and prepares a return to feature filmmaking, underlining his standing as one of Hollywood's most in-demand writers across both film and television.

Without Remorse, starring Jordan opposite Jodie Turner-Smith, was originally intended for a theatrical release but was sent straight to Prime Video after the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted cinema plans; it has remained on the platform ever since. The film divided fans over its departures from the source material, though others argued the changes were necessary for the screen adaptation. Sheridan, meanwhile, has written the upcoming Sicario-style thriller F.A.S.T., directed by Ben Richardson and starring Brandon Sklenar, Sam Claflin, Jason Clarke and LaKeith Stanfield, due in cinemas on 23 April 2027, and is also developing a Call of Duty film set in the Modern Warfare universe, directed by Peter Berg and slated for 2028.
