Prime Video will globally premiere the second season of its Tamil-language suspense thriller "Vadhandhi" on 7 August, with actor M. Sasikumar returning to lead the franchise as police officer SI Moosa Raza. This season, subtitled "The Mystery of Mani", matters as a high-profile expansion of Prime Video's South Indian original content strategy, reuniting the creative team behind a series praised for blending rumour and reality in its crime drama storytelling.

Andrew Louis, who created and wrote the first season, returns to write and direct the eight-episode instalment, with Pushkar and Gayatri serving as creative producers through their Wallwatcher Films banner. The story is set in Madurai against the backdrop of the Jallikattu festival, opening when skeletal remains are discovered during ceremonies for a highway project launch, sending Moosa Raza on the trail of an elusive prisoner named Mani. The cast includes Yashwanth, Anagha Maruthora, Aparna Das, Vivek Prasanna, Revathy Sharma and Arjun Nandhakumar, and the series will stream in Tamil with Telugu and Hindi dubs and subtitles in 15 languages, including English.
