Boy George shares pro-Israel song ‘We Will Dance Again’

NME · 4 hours ago

Boy George has released a new pro-Israel reggae song, ‘We Will Dance Again’, sharing it on social media rather than through streaming platforms. The Culture Club singer uses the track to reject descriptions of Israel's military campaign in Gaza as genocide, framing it instead as a response to the Hamas-led attack on the Nova music festival on 7 October 2023, and also criticises musicians who have publicly backed Palestine.

The song's opening line states "You say genocide, I say war", while further lyrics accuse pro-Palestinian musicians of "selective memory" and spreading weak propaganda. This comes despite a UN Commission and Amnesty International both concluding that Israel has committed genocide in Gaza, findings Israel has rejected as false. Boy George has previously shown solidarity with Jewish communities, including at a London anti-Semitism march and by performing at Eurovision 2026 with San Marino's entry, an event several countries boycotted over Israel's participation.
