Here’s Why Fifth Harmony Fans Think the Girl Group Is Making a Comeback Ahead of Anniversary

Billboard · 4 hours ago

Fifth Harmony has stirred fresh reunion speculation among fans after posting a cryptic teaser on Instagram ahead of the girl group's 14th anniversary. The post, shared jointly by the Fifth Harmony Shop account and former members Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui, featured only a black poster reading "Fifth Harmony" with the caption "happy birthday to us, next week," leaving fans to speculate whether a full comeback is imminent.

The group formed on The X Factor in July 2012 and originally comprised Brooke, Jane, Jauregui, Normani and Camila Cabello, before becoming a quartet when Cabello departed in December 2016. By its 2018 split, the band had scored eight Billboard Hot 100 hits, including the number four single "Work From Home", and five Billboard 200 entries; the four remaining members briefly reunited on stage last August at a Jonas Brothers concert in Dallas. While one journalist suggested the teaser may simply herald an anniversary merchandise drop, the group's recent signing with UTA talent agent Mike G has fuelled hopes among fans of something bigger.
