Reynolds shared a video of the experience, saying he had "no handlers, no security, no ropes" and felt lucky to mark the occasion roughly ten years after the first "Deadpool" film. Footage also showed him crashing the Marvel panel as Robert Downey Jr. jokingly called him out, prompting a quip from Reynolds about filming timelines. The appearance comes after Reynolds recently said another Deadpool film would "eventually" happen, potentially drawing on "deep cuts" from the comics, though he has indicated the character would likely be a supporting rather than central role in any future project.
