Deadline · 4 hours ago

ATX TV, The Black List, Sundance Institute's Episodic Program and SeriesFest are teaming up for the second year running to host "The Write Path," a free webinar aimed at helping emerging television writers find and pursue development opportunities. The initiative reflects a growing effort by industry bodies to demystify submission processes and mentorship routes for newer writers in a highly competitive TV landscape, giving them clearer guidance on where to focus their efforts.

The one-hour session takes place on 10 August at 1pm PT / 3pm CT via Zoom, with representatives from each organisation discussing eligibility criteria, deadlines and tips for strong submissions, followed by an audience Q&A. Panellists include Emily Gipson and Rika Dharmesh Bhakta from ATX TV, Megan Halpern and Claire Austin-Kulat from The Black List, Randi Kleiner and Claire Taylor-Smith from SeriesFest, and Jandiz Estrada Cardoso from Sundance Institute, with Deadline's Katie Campione moderating.
