Cisco is preparing to release AI models built specifically for diagnosing deep networking problems, alongside an agentic operations tool called Cloud Control that puts those models to work. Cloud Control is designed to tackle "console sprawl" by giving network administrators a single interface to query infrastructure issues, such as tracing a faulty connection, instead of hunting across multiple product dashboards, with Cisco claiming its own model outperforms general-purpose "frontier" AI at understanding routing and switching configurations.

Cisco's networking model is expected to appear on Hugging Face "shortly", joining its recently published Antares security models, while Cloud Control itself will roll out to US customers by the end of August, bundled with existing subscriptions. Pricing for token usage beyond an included allowance has not yet been finalised, though an on-premises option, including deployment on Cisco's own UCS servers, will be offered as an alternative. Europe and Asia-Pacific availability will follow in the coming months, delayed by infrastructure build-out and regulatory considerations around data access, and Cisco does not expect Cloud Control to replace its existing product consoles in the near term.
