Netflix Have Found Their ‘Ted Lasso’ Replacement With This Unstoppable Streaming Hit
Netflix appears to have found a successor to Apple TV+'s hit comedy Ted Lasso, which remains off air until its fourth season returns next month. Will Ferrell's new comedy series The Hawk, his first TV project as creator, executive producer and star, debuted on Netflix on 16 July and has quickly become one of the platform's biggest successes, offering fans of sports-comedy underdog stories something to watch in the interim.
The Hawk was co-created by Ferrell alongside Harper Steele and Chris Henchy, and features a cast including Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, Fortune Feimster, Luke Wilson and Chris Parnell. Since launch it has been Netflix's most-watched show and has held a place in the platform's top ten for eight consecutive days. Other titles currently performing well on Netflix include the French action series Elite Force, Harlan Coben adaptation I Will Find You, and the new Western series Little House on the Prairie, while Ted Lasso itself is set to return next month with Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt taking charge of AFC Richmond's new women's team.
