Actress Zendaya debuted a slicked-back, sculpted-bangs hairstyle at the Los Angeles premiere of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" on 27 July 2026, pairing the look with a sculptural black gown. The style, created by celebrity hairstylist Ursula Stephen, has drawn attention for the specific tool behind it, a boar bristle brush, offering fans an easy way to recreate a red-carpet look at home.

Stephen used Bur Bur's £/$72 "Mermaid Brush", a Korean-handcrafted tool combining boar bristles and nylon pins, on Zendaya's wet hair to section it before adding gel, blow-drying it into place and finishing with a hold-and-shine spray. It marks the third collaboration between Stephen and Bur Bur, and the second during the Spider-Man press tour; the brush is also sold in a $115 bundle with the brand's Growing Season Hair Oil. The film, which reunites Zendaya with husband Tom Holland as Peter Parker following the events of a memory-wiping spell, is released in cinemas on 31 July 2026.
