Iowa woman with a prior conviction under her belt arrested for OWI on lawn mower
An Iowa woman with a previous conviction was arrested last Friday after being accused of driving a riding lawn mower while under the influence to a local petrol station. Police were alerted by witnesses who reported that Michelle Hudson appeared intoxicated as she operated the mower, highlighting that motorised vehicles other than cars can still fall foul of drink-driving laws.
Hudson was seen riding a Husqvarna lawn mower through the car park of a Casey's convenience store in Tiffin, Iowa. Officers who attended the scene said she appeared to be intoxicated and carried out field sobriety tests before arresting her; this is reported to be her second such offence.
