Tom Holland has said Marvel has already mapped out how he could eventually hand the Spider-Man role to another actor. His comments suggest the studio is planning beyond his current tenure, although no successor or timetable has been announced.

Holland said the plan is “laid out” and that he feels protective of the character, adding that any transition would need to be handled carefully. He is set to return as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, due for release in July 2026.
