Neon Genesis Evangelion will join the Criterion Channel on 1 September, expanding the service’s growing anime catalogue. The arrival gives viewers another way to watch one of anime’s most influential series, including its original English dub, which will be available to stream for the first time.

Criterion will offer the 26-episode 1995 television series, the 1998 recap film Evangelion: Death (True)2, and 1997 finale The End of Evangelion. The Rebuild of Evangelion films are not included; the original material remains on Netflix, while the Rebuild films are due to leave Amazon Prime Video in mid-August.
