Chief executive Thomas Conrad said Sonos believes its advantage lies less in developing the fastest AI model and more in its existing home-audio network, hardware and understanding of how households use connected devices. Sonos has historically supported voice assistants from several companies, but will face competition from Amazon and Google as it seeks to position higher-specification smart-home audio products around AI.
