Comedy Central is reviving its role in developing stand-up talent with Stand-Up Selects, a new short-set series featuring 14 comedians. The sets will be recorded in August and released exclusively on the Comedy Central Stand-Up YouTube channel this autumn, signalling a renewed push into digital comedy programming.

The series follows the 2010s digital format Stand-Up Featuring, which presented more than 200 comics and has generated over 143 million social-media views. Its first line-up includes Adam Ray, Fumi Abe, Jay Jurden, Leslie Liao and Skyler Higley, among others; Hoff Studios is producing, though Comedy Central’s wider direction after the Paramount/Skydance merger remains unclear.
