A Western Australian jury has acquitted UK rapper and YouTuber Yung Filly of three rape charges, but convicted him of two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. The mixed verdict resolves some allegations arising from an alleged incident after his 2024 Perth-area nightclub show, while leaving three rape charges unresolved after the jury failed to reach decisions.

Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, 30, denied all charges and said the sexual encounter was consensual, though he admitted biting the complainant. He was also cleared of one further assault charge and strangulation; he remains on bail until 21 August, when a sentencing date may be set, while prosecutors decide whether to pursue the three unresolved rape charges.
