Cardi B has released “AH HA”, her first new single since her sophomore album Am I The Drama?. The track returns her to brash, confrontational rap, centred on lyrics that frame success as revenge and reinforce her status without naming specific rivals. Its release continues a busy period following touring, high-profile television appearances and other public engagements.

“AH HA” is produced by DJ SwanQo, a previous Cardi B collaborator behind tracks including “Up” and “Get Up 10”. The production combines an ’80s-influenced maximalist feel, a digital bassline and a Detroit-style bounce, while Cardi references Detroit rapper Kash Doll. The single is out now through Atlantic, though no music video has yet been released.
