Disney’s live-action Tangled remake has begun filming in Spain, with leaked set images offering the first look at Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider. The images suggest the production is closely reflecting the animated characters’ familiar costumes, while early fan reaction to the casting appears broadly positive.

Croft was photographed in Rapunzel’s purple dress with a long blonde wig, while Manheim wore Flynn Rider’s blue waistcoat. Kathryn Hahn has also been seen as Mother Gothel, alongside Diego Luna in an undisclosed new role, and twins Patrick and Hugo McPherson as the Stabbington brothers; filming locations include sites near Bilbao and Girona Cathedral, reportedly standing in for Corona Castle. The film is expected in cinemas next year.
