Magenta Edge Films, the speciality label launched by Bob Yari’s Magenta Light Studios, has acquired Sabrina Greco’s dark comedy *Lockjaw* following its Slamdance premiere. The deal gives Greco’s microbudget debut a theatrical and digital release route, supporting Magenta Edge’s stated focus on bringing independent films to wider audiences.

The film stars Blu Hunt as Rayna, whose jaw is wired shut after a drink-driving accident and who tries to navigate a volatile night out six weeks later. *Lockjaw* will open in cinemas on 8 August before arriving on VOD and digital platforms on 8 September; Greco wrote and directed it in 11 days with a small team.
