A 10-year-old aspiring entertainment journalist, Brooklyn Nordyke, attended the premiere of L.O.L. Surprise! The Next Headliner and interviewed its cast on the red carpet. The experience fulfilled a childhood ambition she had written about in a first-grade assignment, while also giving a young fan of the L.O.L. Surprise! brand a first-hand view of entertainment reporting.
The new live-action scripted comedy follows five aspiring singers competing for a support slot before discovering they work better together as a band. It combines mockumentary-style comedy, pop-star fantasy and original music, stars Giselle Torres, Indi Star, Journey Montana Binns, Kate Mina Lin and Olivia Taylor Cohen, and is tied to character dolls based on the show.
