Taylor Sheridan will return to the screen in the third season of Paramount+ spy thriller Lioness, according to co-star Thad Luckinbill. His role has not been detailed, but Luckinbill said the creator’s involvement improves the show and that they share scenes; the news highlights Sheridan’s continued hands-on role across his expanding television slate.

Sheridan previously made a cameo as CIA officer Cody Spears in season two and has acted in programmes including Sons of Anarchy, Veronica Mars, Yellowstone and 1883. Cast member Matt Gerald said the new season will have its highest stakes yet, beginning and ending dramatically, while describing weapons and close-quarters combat training undertaken for the production.
