Swansea City winger Cameron Congreve is set to join Belgian top-flight club Westerlo for a seven-figure fee. The move ends the 22-year-old Wales international’s long association with Swansea, where he joined the academy at under-nine level, and reflects the club’s willingness to sell emerging talent despite expectations he could challenge for a first-team place next season.

Congreve impressed on loan at Dundee last season, scoring three goals in 36 appearances, and earned his first senior Wales caps in June friendlies against Ghana and Romania. Swansea will receive add-ons, a sell-on clause and the right to match future bids accepted by Westerlo; Congreve leaves with 19 senior Swansea appearances, while Westerlo finished ninth in Belgium’s top division last season.
