Beast of Reincarnation, a new action RPG developed by Game Freak, is set to launch worldwide on PC and consoles on Monday, 3 August 2026. The game is notable for being a fresh project from Game Freak, a studio best known for the Pokémon series, and marks a departure into a darker, post-apocalyptic setting.

The story is set in a devastated Japan and follows protagonist Emma, humanity's last hope, alongside her companion Koo, a "blighted dog", as they journey through mysterious forests that have overtaken the wasteland, battling enemies and bosses along the way. It is a single-player, story-driven experience with no demo currently available, though the game can be wishlisted on Steam ahead of release, which goes live at 6pm BST.
