A 35-year-old man from Ohio, Tyler Wilkin, was found shot dead on a beach in Puerto Rico in what police believe was an execution-style killing. His close friend, Jules Santiago, who lives on the island, described the shock of learning he had been killed, telling Fox News Digital that "the whole room went cold" when she heard the news.

Wilkin, who had moved to Puerto Rico in 2024 after growing up in Ohio, was discovered with a gunshot wound to the back of his head while on a camping trip at Playa La Selva in Luquillo. Santiago, who had known him for around two years, spoke of her grief and shared tributes to her friend, though further details on a possible motive or suspect had not been released at the time of reporting.
