The Sarajevo Film Festival has announced its Open Air programme, one of its flagship strands, featuring high-profile titles such as Cannes selections Minotaur and Diego Luna's Ashes, alongside the Berlinale opener No Good Men. The line-up reflects the festival's continued role as a major showcase for both international arthouse cinema and films with strong regional resonance, blending premieres with a tribute screening tied to this year's honorary award.

The section, screened at the festival's largest venue, the Coca-Cola Open Air Cinema, will open with Paweł Pawlikowski's Fatherland, starring Hanns Zischler and Sandra Hüller, and close with Danis Tanović's 2001 war drama No Man's Land. Other premieres include Andrey Zvyagintsev's corporate-thriller Minotaur, Shahrbanoo Sadat's No Good Men, Annemarie Jacir's Palestine 36, Rodrigo Sorogoyen's The Beloved, and Michael Winterbottom's 1997 film Welcome to Sarajevo, shown in honour of Woody Harrelson's recently announced Honorary Heart of Sarajevo award. The festival separately unveiled its Open Air Premiere programme, showcasing new films from the former Yugoslavia region at UNIQA Open Air Cinema Stari Grad, with an audience-voted award, the Prix Cineplexx, to be presented to the best film.
