A new instalment in the found-footage horror franchise V/H/S, titled V/H/S/MIXTAPE, will feature contributions from several music figures, including Wu-Tang Clan's RZA, Ghost frontman Tobias Forge, Flying Lotus and heavy metal band GWAR. Streaming service Shudder will release the ninth film in the long-running anthology series on 9 October, continuing a franchise that began in 2012 and has drawn directors such as Gareth Evans and Scott Derrickson.

RZA will direct a segment for the film, while Flying Lotus and Tobias Forge will contribute music video interludes; GWAR will also appear on screen. The film's theme centres on music and sound as sources of horror, blending cosmic and psychological terror with practical effects. It marks a returning collaboration for Flying Lotus, who previously directed a segment for V/H/S/99, and comes as the franchise also prepares a further film based on the SCP Foundation mythology, due in 2027.
