Nothing CMF is launching its first open earbuds
Nothing's budget sub-brand CMF has launched its first open-ear earbuds, the CMF Clip Pro, joining a growing trend of "open" designs that let wearers stay aware of their surroundings while listening. Priced at $99 and available from today in the US, the earbuds are aimed at buyers who don't want to pay extra for the alternative form factor, matching the cost of Nothing's existing Ear 3A and original Ear (a) models.
The Clip Pro comes in white, black and orange colourways, each with a matching charging case featuring a "Smart Dial" for adjusting volume, controlling playback, answering calls and pairing devices without unlocking a phone. Each earbud weighs 6.5 grams and is designed to flex for a comfortable long-term fit, with up to 10 hours of continuous playback and roughly 33 hours total with the case, plus an IP54 rating against dust and light splashes. Features include a 10.8mm driver, LDAC/AAC/SBC codec support, "Ultra Bass Technology" to offset the bass loss typical of open-ear designs, four microphones for calls, Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint connectivity, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair and a low-latency gaming mode via the Nothing X app.
