Todrick Hall's musical "Midnight" has announced its full cast and creative team ahead of its North American premiere off Broadway at the Daryl Roth Theatre this autumn, following two sold-out runs in London. Hall wrote, directs and choreographs the show, which is set in the 19th-century American South and follows twelve interconnected characters, six Black and six white, through a sung-through score blending gospel, R&B, pop, rock, folk, opera and musical theatre.
Performances begin on 12 September, with opening night set for 27 September and the limited run continuing through 8 November. Hall is joined on stage by performers including Jeremy Beloate, Kennedy Caughell and Tony nominee Sidney DuPont, alongside a wider ensemble and a creative team led by music supervisor Laurence Stannard and set designer Morgan Large. Hall, who rose to fame via "American Idol" and YouTube before becoming a judge and choreographer on "RuPaul's Drag Race", has also previously appeared on Broadway in "Waitress", "Kinky Boots" and "Chicago".
