Ubisoft is marking the 25th anniversary of its Ghost Recon franchise with a major update and a batch of free new missions for Ghost Recon Wildlands, alongside a giveaway of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. The move gives the long-running military shooter series renewed attention a quarter-century after its debut, offering existing players fresh content at no extra cost and a chance for newcomers to pick up an older entry for free.

The anniversary push centres on Wildlands, which receives a substantial update plus additional free missions, extending the game's content well beyond its original release. As part of the celebrations, Ubisoft is also giving away Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, letting players add another entry in the series to their library free of charge.
