Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton's family has confirmed that his children, niece and sister were evacuated from his Miami home after he appeared to self-harm during a graphic TikTok livestream on 4 August 2026. The incident prompted police involvement and Hilton's hospitalisation, drawing widespread public attention and concern over both his welfare and the impact on the children who were present in the house at the time.

Viewers of the livestream contacted police after seeing Hilton covered in blood and cutting himself with a knife; TikTok said its automated moderation flagged the stream after several minutes and it was taken down after 15 minutes, with his account subsequently banned. In a statement, Hilton's family said the children fled the property as soon as it became clear he was in a severe mental health crisis, and thanked the public for their support while asking media and onlookers to leave the area around the family home to protect the children's privacy. A separate family statement from 5 August said Hilton "is able to communicate", which had given them hope.
