Cumberbatch said he enjoyed their improvised work together so much that he could have continued for hours, highlighting his admiration for Galifianakis and the programme’s style.

The comments were made as Cumberbatch reflected on appearing in the film, a feature-length version of Galifianakis’s interview comedy series. He said he was already a fan of the show and Galifianakis’s work, and was very pleased to be invited to take part; he also noted that the initial questions used in the production were genuine.
