Noah Wyle, the star of HBO’s medical drama The Pitt, will play Captain James T. Kirk in a one-night benefit reading of the original Star Trek episode “The Man Trap”. The Los Angeles event takes place on 30 August at 7pm PT, with a live score and a replica Salt Vampire; tickets cost $66 in person or $20 for the livestream. “The Man Trap” was Star Trek’s first broadcast episode and follows the Enterprise crew encountering a shapeshifting creature at a remote outpost.
