20 Years Later, One of Gundam’s Biggest Sagas Is Free to Stream
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and its sequel, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, are now available to watch free on the Gundam Channel INTL on YouTube. The release gives viewers an accessible way to revisit the franchise’s commercially successful Cosmic Era storyline while a live-action Gundam film remains in development.
The original Mobile Suit Gundam aired between 1979 and 1980, and the forthcoming film is expected in 2027, although it has no confirmed release date. Directed and written by Jim Mickle, it stars and is produced by Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo, alongside Michael Mando, Shioli Kutsuna and Jason Isaacs. Production reportedly finished in July 2026.
